Warehouse Supervisor

Job Summary

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the accurate receipt, storage, and dispatch of all raw materials and finished products at the warehouse. The role owns stock integrity in the ERP system, day to day supervision of the loading team, and reconciliation of every stock movement. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the Warehouse Supervisor is the first line of control against stock loss, weight variances, and process breakdowns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Register all incoming and outgoing stock transactions in the ERP system promptly and accurately
  • Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile them against system records
  • Investigate stock discrepancies, document findings, and escalate unresolved variances
  • Verify and compare weighbridge weights against waybills, purchase orders, and delivery documents before goods are accepted or released
  • Supervise and coordinate labour handlers (loaders), including work allocation, attendance, and output
  • Instruct and manage truck drivers and labourers to ensure safety standards and efficient organization are adhered to
  • Enforce proper stock arrangement and rotation (FIFO) to prevent spoilage, contamination, and expiry
  • Maintain warehouse housekeeping, storage conditions, and safety compliance
  • Ensure goods received notes, waybills, and dispatch documents are complete, accurate, and properly filed
  • Coordinate with Production, Procurement, and Logistics to ensure timely material availability and dispatch
  • Safeguard stock against pilferage, damage, and unauthorized movement
  • Provide periodic stock and activity reports to the Warehouse Manager

Requirements

  • Minimum of HND in a relevant field
  • Computer literacy required
  • Experience with an ERP system required (Odoo ERP an advantage, but not essential)
  • Proven ability to supervise & manage drivers and labour crews
  • Strong numeracy, record keeping discipline, and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage a labour crew firmly and fairly
